Products & Ingredients
What does "TPO and HEMA free" mean?
TPO is a photoinitiator that hardens gel under a lamp, and HEMA is a monomer that helps gel adhere. Both are common in cheaper gel systems and both are associated with allergic reactions in clients and technicians with repeated exposure. TPO is also restricted in cosmetics in the EU. Our gels are formulated without either.
Are your products suitable for clients with sensitive skin?
Removing HEMA and TPO takes out two of the most frequently reported irritants in gel systems, which is why we formulate without them. No product can be guaranteed safe for every individual, so patch testing is still sensible for a client with a known history of reactions to nail products.
Are your products meant for professionals or home users?
Both. The formulations are salon grade and used by professional technicians, and they are equally usable at home if you follow the preparation and curing steps. If you are starting out, begin with a prep system, a base coat, one colour and a top coat rather than buying a large kit.
How should I store gel polish and builder gel?
Upright, capped tightly, away from direct sunlight, windows and heat. UV from daylight will slowly cure product inside a bottle or jar, which is the usual reason a gel thickens or sets solid in storage.
How long do the products keep?
Unopened gel products generally keep for around 24 to 36 months when stored correctly. Once opened, use within roughly 12 to 18 months for best performance. Check the batch information printed on the packaging for the specific item.
My gel has thickened in the bottle. Can I still use it?
If it has thickened but still flows, warming the bottle gently in your hands and rolling it (not shaking, which introduces bubbles) usually restores it. If it has gone stringy or partly solid it has begun to cure from light exposure and should be replaced. Never thin gel with acetone or monomer.
Why does my gel polish have bubbles?
Almost always from shaking the bottle rather than rolling it, or from applying too thick a coat. Roll the bottle between your palms and apply thin, even layers.
Do you sell shade charts or swatch sticks?
Shade references are shown on each product page, and several of our collections are photographed on swatch sticks so you can see the colour built up. Screen calibration varies, so treat on-screen colour as a close guide rather than an exact match.
Gel Polish
Do I need a base coat and a top coat?
Yes. The base coat is what bonds colour to the nail plate and prevents staining, and the top coat is what seals the edge and provides the finish and shine. Skipping either is the most common cause of early chipping and lifting.
How many coats of colour should I apply?
Two thin coats suit most shades. Thin coats cure properly through their full depth; one thick coat cures on the surface and stays soft underneath, which causes wrinkling and peeling. Very sheer or pastel shades may want a third.
What is one-coat gel polish?
A higher-pigment formula built to reach full opacity in a single coat, which saves time in a salon. You still need a base coat and a top coat around it.
Why is my gel polish lifting or peeling at the cuticle?
Usually preparation. The nail plate needs to be dehydrated and free of cuticle and oil before the base coat, and no product should touch the skin or cuticle. Capping the free edge with every layer also matters. Lifting within a day or two points to preparation; lifting after two weeks is normal wear.
Why did my gel polish wrinkle after curing?
The coat was too thick, or the lamp is not curing the full depth. Apply thinner layers and check that your lamp suits the product.
How long should a gel manicure last?
Two to three weeks with correct preparation and aftercare. Nail growth, not product failure, is usually what ends the set.
How do I remove gel polish safely?
Gently file off the top coat to break the seal, soak with acetone using wraps or a soak-off clip for 10 to 15 minutes, and slide the softened product off with a wooden or steel pusher. Never force or pick product off, which takes layers of nail plate with it.
What is cat eye gel polish and how do I use it?
Cat eye gels contain fine magnetic particles. While the coat is still wet you hold a magnet close to the surface for a few seconds to draw the particles into a line or swirl, then cure. Each nail is done individually, because the effect sets the moment you cure.
My cat eye effect is faint or will not form. Why?
Either the coat is too thin to hold enough pigment, the magnet is too far away or moved too briefly, or a dark base was skipped. Cat eye shades read strongest over a matching or dark base coat.
Can I apply gel polish over natural nails without extensions?
Yes. Gel polish is designed to be worn on the natural nail. Extensions are only needed when you want added length or structure.
Will gel polish damage my natural nails?
Applied and removed correctly, no. Damage almost always comes from over-filing during preparation or from peeling product off instead of soaking it off.
Builder Gel & Extensions
What is builder gel and what is it for?
A thicker gel used to add strength and structure to the natural nail, or to build a short extension. It is often used as an overlay, sometimes called builder in a bottle, to reinforce weak or peeling nails.
What is the difference between builder gel and polygel?
Builder gel is a self-levelling gel applied with a brush from a bottle or jar. Polygel is a thicker putty-like hybrid that does not run and is shaped with a spatula and a brush dampened with slip solution. Polygel gives more control for length; builder gel is faster for overlays.
Do I need forms or tips for extensions?
Either works. Dual forms and paper forms give a sculpted extension with no join; tips are quicker but need blending. Both are used with builder gel or polygel.
How thick should builder gel be applied?
Build structure in stages rather than one heavy layer, with the apex over the stress point. A thick single application traps uncured product underneath and is the usual cause of heat spikes and early lifting.
Why does builder gel get hot while curing?
A heat spike is the curing reaction releasing energy, and it happens when a layer is too thick or the lamp is too powerful for that thickness. Apply thinner layers, or use a lamp with a low-heat or gradual start mode. If a client feels heat, remove the hand from the lamp, let it settle and return it.
How long do gel extensions last before an infill?
Typically two to three weeks, depending on nail growth and how hard the hands are used. Infilling rather than removing and rebuilding keeps the natural nail in better condition.
Can builder gel be used just to strengthen short natural nails?
Yes, and it is one of its most common uses. A thin overlay adds strength without adding length, which suits clients who want their own nails to grow out.
Base & Top Coats
What is a no-wipe top coat?
A top coat that cures without leaving a tacky inhibition layer, so it needs no cleanser wipe afterwards. It saves a step and avoids dulling the finish with a contaminated wipe.
What is the sticky layer after curing?
The inhibition layer, a thin uncured film left by oxygen contact during curing. It is normal. It is what lets subsequent layers bond, and it is wiped off with cleanser after the final layer unless you used a no-wipe top coat.
Why is my top coat dull instead of glossy?
Usually an undercured top coat, a lamp with weakening bulbs, or wiping with a cloth that had residue on it. Check the cure time first.
What is the difference between matte and glossy top coat?
Only the finish. A matte top coat contains a diffuser that scatters light. Both seal and protect the same way. Matte finishes show oils more readily, so advise clients to avoid cuticle oil directly on the surface.
Can I use a rubber base coat to strengthen nails?
Yes. A rubber base is thicker than a standard base and can be used to add a light structural layer and an apex on natural nails, which suits clients who want strength without an overlay.
Lamps & Curing
What lamp do I need for your gels?
A UV/LED lamp. Modern dual-wavelength LED lamps cure the full range of gel chemistries, which older single-wavelength LED lamps do not. We stock several, including higher-wattage salon lamps for faster curing.
How long should I cure each layer?
Follow the timing on the individual product page, because it varies by product and by lamp. As a general guide, gel polish is typically 30 to 60 seconds in an LED lamp and builder gels need longer. When in doubt, cure for the longer time — undercuring causes far more problems than overcuring.
Does a higher wattage lamp cure faster?
Broadly yes, but wavelength coverage matters more than raw wattage. A well-matched 48W lamp will outperform a mismatched 80W one. Higher power also increases the chance of a heat spike on thick builder gel layers.
My gel is not curing properly. What should I check?
In order: whether the lamp suits the product, whether the coat is too thick, whether the bulbs have aged, and whether the hand is positioned fully inside the lamp. Thumbs are the most commonly undercured nail because they sit at an angle.
Do lamp bulbs need replacing?
LED lamps last for thousands of hours but dim with use. If cure times start creeping up or finishes turn dull with product that used to work, the lamp is usually the cause.
Tools & Equipment
What is in a prep system and do I need one?
A prep system covers cleansing, dehydrating and priming the nail plate before product goes on. It is the single biggest factor in how long a set lasts, and it is the step most often skipped.
Do I need a nail drill?
Not for gel polish on natural nails. A drill saves considerable time on infills, removal and cuticle work with extensions, and it is worth having if you work on clients regularly. It needs training to use safely on the natural nail.
How do I clean gel brushes?
Wipe on a lint-free pad with brush cleanser or isopropyl alcohol, never acetone, which destroys the bristles. Reshape and store flat or bristles-up, away from light.
Can your tools be sterilised?
Metal implements such as pushers, nippers and tweezers can be cleaned and sterilised by the usual salon methods. Files and buffers are porous — either use them on a single client or use disposable ones.
What is a dust collector for?
It draws filing dust away from the working area before it can be inhaled or settle on wet product. If you file regularly, it is a health measure rather than a convenience.
Orders & Payment
Are your prices inclusive of GST?
Yes. Every price shown on the site already includes 18% GST. The tax is shown broken out on your invoice, but it is not added on top at checkout — the price you see is the price you pay.
Will I get a GST invoice?
Yes. A tax invoice showing the taxable value and the GST charged is issued for every order and emailed to you. Orders shipped within Delhi show CGST and SGST; orders to other states show IGST.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash on Delivery is available across serviceable pin codes. Online payment options are being enabled and will appear at checkout as they go live.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
Contact us as soon as possible with your order number. Orders are processed within one to three business days and we can usually amend or cancel before dispatch. Once an order has shipped it has to be handled as a return.
Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing for salons?
Get in touch with your requirements and we will come back to you. Volume terms depend on the range and quantity.
Do I need an account to order?
No, you can check out as a guest. An account keeps your addresses, order history and wishlist together and makes reordering considerably faster.
Shipping & Delivery
How much is delivery?
Delivery is free on orders over Rs. 1,000. Below that a flat Rs. 79 applies.
How long will my order take?
Orders are processed within one to three business days of payment confirmation, and delivery usually takes a further three to seven business days depending on your location. Timelines can stretch slightly during launches, sales and festive periods.
Where do you ship?
Across India. You can check whether we deliver to your area by entering your pin code on any product page before you order.
How do I track my order?
Tracking details are sent to you by email as soon as your order is dispatched. If you have an account, the tracking number also appears against the order in your order history.
My order is late. What should I do?
Check the tracking link first, as most delays are in transit and resolve on their own. If tracking has not updated for several days, contact us with your order number and we will chase the courier. Delays caused by courier networks, weather or an incorrect address given at checkout are outside our control.
Can I change my delivery address after ordering?
Only before dispatch. Contact us immediately with your order number. Once a parcel is with the courier the address cannot be altered.
Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy?
Because these are beauty products with hygiene considerations, opened, used or tested items cannot be returned or exchanged. Refunds and replacements are provided where an item arrives broken or damaged in transit, supported by an unboxing video as set out below. Anything returned must otherwise be unused, unopened and in its original packaging.
My order arrived broken. What do I need to do?
Record one continuous unboxing video that begins with the parcel still sealed and shows the damage as you open it, then email it to info@viraaprofessional.com with your order number within one hour of delivery. Damage claims are raised with the courier against their delivery record, and without that footage the courier will reject the claim. If it does not reach us within the hour we are not able to accept responsibility for transit damage.
Why do you insist on an unboxing video?
It is the only evidence a courier accepts that an item left us intact and arrived broken. Without it there is no way to separate transit damage from damage after delivery. Please film every parcel as you open it - it takes seconds, and it is what protects you if something inside is broken.
Why can I not return a product I simply did not like?
Nail products are applied directly to the body and cannot be verified as unused once opened, so reselling them would be unsafe. This is standard practice for cosmetics, and it is why we publish shade references and detail on every product page.
How long does a refund take?
Once a claim is approved, the refund is processed back to the original payment method. Bank processing time then applies, typically a few business days.

How does the wishlist work?
Tap the heart on any product to save it. Your wishlist is kept with your account, so it follows you between your phone and your laptop.
How does Refer and Earn work?
Share your personal referral link from your account area. When someone new places their first qualifying order through it, cashback is credited to both of you. The balance can be seen in your account.
I signed up with Google. Can I also set a password?
Yes. Go to Profile in your account area and set a password there. You will then be able to sign in either way.
How do I reorder something I bought before?
Open Orders in your account area. Every past order lists what you bought, so you can go straight back to the product page.
